Start Your Business On The Right Foot

If you are thinking of starting business activities or early in the process of running a business, some free advice from professionals can come in handy.

For many people (and certainly many entrepreneurs)  DIY projects are a great source of pride.

Is there anything better than building that fence and having a cold one at the end of it all as a reward for all your hard work?  Yet, perhaps that satisfaction wanes when a few years down the road you go to sell your house, and low and behold, the real property report clearly shows the fence encroaches on the neighboring lands!

I am sure there are those reading this who think they can build a fence just fine, thank you. Look - I believe you, no need to send me pictures of the lovely fence you built last summer. The point is sometimes the DIY project can seem perfect and it is only some time down the road when we discover we missed something important.

As an example, I find clients are often surprised when they discover that incorporating a business isn't a one size fits all proposition. In fact, starting out on the wrong foot can cost you time and money down the road.

In light of the foregoing, if you are thinking of starting a business or have a new business, I invite you to join me (and other relevant experts and advisors), on September 28th between 2 - 4:30 pm at the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce for a free and interactive round table workshop on the steps and considerations involved in starting a business.

Are you ready to start your business but confused about the steps to do so? Join us as we take you through the startup process from start to finish so you can make sure you're setting up your business RIGHT. This workshop will feature a series of roundtable discussions on the most important steps to starting your business. You will have the opportunity to ask your questions to experts in the field, and learn from others in the group about issues they're having with the startup process.
