Costs

Effective May 1, 2020, tariff costs have been increased by 35% for all columns.

Effective immediately, Rule 10.33 has been amended such that the Courts can consider any offer of settlement when making a costs award. Previously, the Courts only considered Formal Offers or Calderbank offers.

Limitation Periods

By Ministerial Order, Limitation Periods in Alberta have been suspended to June 1, 2020.
