Alberta's Motorcycle Helmet Exemption for Sikhs

Will turban-wearing Sikhs who suffer head injuries while riding a motorcycle be held contributorily negligent for refusing to wear a helmet?

Perhaps, but the issue is complicated by the exemption and its freedom of religion underpinnings. 

Insurance experts are waiting to see if the province's move to exempt turban-wearing Sikhs from using motorcycle helmets will inflate premiums.
