Pre-employment criminal record disclosure is always an interesting debate. On one hand there may be valid security or safety issues depending on the nature of the business and the crime. On the other hand, there is often a desire to see former inmates rehabilitate their lives and overcome the stigma of their conviction. Still further, laws amongst Canadian provinces vary.
